The Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) conducted its 1st ALCUCOA Summer Camp for Accreditors last May 21-22, 2019 at Angel's Hills, Tagaytay City. With its theme, “Revisiting Vision and Renewing Faith in the Service of God and People” the activity constituted the following; team building, review of ALCUCOA instruments and interfaith recollection.
The seminar was attended by the ALCUCOA accreditors from different academic institutions and the ALCUCOA Board of Directors led by Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega.
The 2-day session was highly interactive and participatory. The seminar began with the discussion of the importance of team development. Dr. Songco, the former Director of the Office of the Student Affairs at the University of Sto. Tomas was the resource speaker. Different models of effective teamwork were highlighted in the team building activities. To better address the vision of ALCUCOA, the accreditors worked together to review the ALCUCOA instrument. The accreditors committed themselves to be part of ALCUCOA's effort to ensure quality assurance in the pursuit of quality education.
To rekindle and deepens one's relationship with God, an interfaith recollection facilitated by Fr. Archie Guiriba, OFM graced the activity. He shared God's message of hope, love, peace, unity and healing. An Ecumenical Mass attended by the participants followed.
